Agartala, June 21: Congress candidate from Agartala Assembly Constituency Sudip Roy Barman, who had been hospitalized after being attacked by the miscreants on Sunday night, took discharge from the hospital and participated in poll campaigning on the last day.

Congress leaders and activists organized bike rally with two candidates from the city. 

Agartala and Town Bardowali Congress leaders and activists carried out a stormy campaign. Congress' Agartala candidate Sudip Roy Barman and Town Bardowali candidate Ashish Kumar Saha took out a huge bike rally.

The rally started from the Pradesh Congress Bhavan, Post Office Chaumuhani traversed through different roads of the city. There were appeals during the rally to ensure the victory of Congress candidates by huge margin for restoring democracy in the state. 
Meanwhile, before the starting the rally, TPCC in-charge Dr. Ajay Kumar, All India Congress general secretary Szarita, TPCC president Birajit Sinha and others held a press conference at the Pradesh Congress Headquarters.

Mentioning the attack on Congress Candidate Sudip Roy Barman, they said, “People had seen it all. The electorates will give a befitting reply to the attack during the polling”.
Roy Barman elaborated the attack on him and said, "the sole purpose of the attack was to kill me so that I cannot participate in the polls."
