ISKCON to celebrate “Rath Yatra” with pomp and gaiety

Agartala, June 30: This year's Rath Yatra festival at ISKCON Mission will be celebrated with great fanfare. The same was declared by the members of International Society for Krishna Consciousness, ISKCON amid a press conference here on Thursday. Addressing the reporters the priests said, with huge fanfare this year’s Rath Yatra or Chariot festival will be celebrated in the capital city on behalf of ISKCON Mission. Three grand “Raths” or Chariot of the goddesses will traverse the entire city and end at MBB Club. Minister Sushant Chowdhury, Rampada Jamatia, AMC Mayor Deepak Majumder and TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy will remain present as special guests on this auspicious ocassion. Various programs have also been taken for seven days, said Govinda Das, Co-President ISKCON Agartala. After being closed for two years because of Covid-19 pandemic, people of all sections are looking forward to enjoy the “Rath Yatra” festival with full devotion.
