Agartala, Apr 7: A group of aspirants who had successfully cleared the physical and field tests for the 249 posts of male jail wardens in Tripura submitted a deputation to the Inspector General of Prisons and urged immediate resumption of the long-stalled recruitment process.
The candidates highlighted that the recruitment, advertised on December 3, 2022 initially brought hope to many unemployed youths in Tripura.
The physical tests were held between December 27 and 30 of the year.
However, with the announcement of assembly elections, the recruitment process was unexpectedly stalled, which left the applicants in distress.
The candidates stated that even as over two years and three months have elapsed since then, no information regarding the written examination has been issued.
The candidates, in their letter to IG Avula Ramesh Reddy, expressed deep concern over the prolonged delay and urged for immediate action to restart the selection process.
They requested that the department take swift steps to conduct the written exam without further delay.
