Japan Govt keen to assist development of Tripura’s communication system

Agartala, Sept 26: Mari Sakai, the Second Secretary of Japan High Commission in New Delhi, paid a courtesy visit to Tripura Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury at the civil secretariat, Agartala on Monday.
According to Chowdhury, the official of Japan High Commission in New Delhi arrived in the state to explore various possible aspects as the Government of Japan is keen to extend help for development of the communication system in Tripura.
In his meeting with Mari Sakai, the ICA minister first condoled the untimely demise of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and condemned the cowardly attack. Chowdhury said, the former Prime Minister of Japan always emphasized on cordial relations between India and Japan.
Chowdhury thanked the official for expressing the interest of the Government of Japan to extend cooperation in various areas including communication in Tripura.
The discussion was positive and it would be fruitful in near future, Chowdhury commented in a social media post.
