In protest against the brutal attack on Journalist Tapas Das of Syandan Patrika in Agartala, a group media persons organized sit-in-demonstration in front of New Capital Complex police Station.

The journalists strongly demanded immediate arrests of the culprit(s) who were involved in the attack incident. Das came under attack while he was returning home on a bicycle after completing work in the heart of Agartala city on July 4 last.

The journalists also questioned the police role that even after a considerable period was passed since the incident, no arrest was made so far.
