Kailasahar, July 12: Time and again state government hospitals have remained in headlines regarding disrupted health care services. This time relatives of patient have raised serious allegations against Kailasahar district hospital. The details of the incident revealed that the number of patients in a room was many times more than the number of seats in the gynecology department of Kailashahar district hospital in Unakoti district. Moreover, six out of nine fans in this Gyno Ward are out of order. Following which the patients are subjected to extreme sufferings in these scorching summer days. Relatives of the Gyno Ward patients alleged the patients are in dire straits as their patients and infants become suffocated due to the presence of extra patients in the Gyno ward. On the other hand, the bathrooms and toilets in the ward are also in a very poor condition. Relatives of some of the patients in the surgical ward also alleged there is no bathroom or toilet in the surgical ward. The patients of the surgical ward have to be brought to the western end of the two-storey building of the hospital, in which the patients have to face extreme difficulties. Relatives of the patient party demanded the concerned authorities to immediately fix the issues related to the government hospital.
