Agartala, Sep 16: Three days after the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) announced the eagerly-awaited final merit list for Group-C recruitment, endorsing a total of 1980 candidates, the Left front on Saturday found irregularities in the merit lists and asked the recruitment board for clarification.
Addressing a press conference here at Agartala, the Left front Convenor Narayan Kar said, “Having no address of the 1980 qualified candidates in the merit list of the JRBT released on September 13 last has triggered doubt among the job aspirants of the state of Tripura. We the Left front suspect that the merit list involves the candidates from outside the state, otherwise the JRBT would have mentioned the home address of the qualified candidates.”
“Government is in a move to entertain youths outside the state to participate in the recruitment process for the posts lying vacant in the state. That way the government is depriving the unemployed youths of our state,” he told reporters.
On the other hand, the Left convenor mocked at the government on Saturday over the ineligible candidates for the rest 430 vacant posts out of 2410 posts and said, “Despite having merit candidates available in our state, how could the government say that they did not find eligible candidates for the rest 430 vacant posts, whereas according to the government criteria Madhyamik or equivalent passed candidates are made eligible to participate in the recruitment process for 430 posts on the recruitment advertisement.”
He however sought clarification from the JRBT and demanded to mention the home address of the candidates recommended in the merit list for Group-C recruitment, endorsing a total of 1980 candidates.
