LF Youth wing activists arrested during protest in capital city

Agartala Aug 03: CPI-M’s student wings SFI and TSU activists were arrested by police. The detained agitators alleged police brutality on them.
Notably, SFI and TSU activists gathered in Battala area of the capital city to protest against the ongoing teachers’ crisis in entire state along with 10,323 teachers issue and many more.
Speaking from the spot of agitation SFI Stater secretary Sandipan Deb alleged, “The education minister and Chief Minister of the state are enjoying their power in AC rooms of the Secretariat where as students are on roads protesting against the shortage of teachers in govt schools”.
Deb further added that the teaching and learning process in several schools across the state has come to a standstill because of the acute shortage of teachers.
SFI and TSU activists demanded immediate recruitment of adequate number of teachers in schools.
