Lions Club Of Agartala, Anish vows to help people in distress

Agartala Dec 24: Lions are rolling up their sleeves and working to help the people in need. With the only motto of serving people, various programs are taken up throughout the month, said Biswajit Banik, Secretary, Lions Club of Agartala, Anish.
Sunday, the members of the club organized a blanket distribution program and diabetes detection camp at Gamchakobra ADC Village in Lefunga.
Speaking in this context, secretary of the club Biswajit Banik said, “Lions Club of Agartala, Anish got chartered in November, 2023. It was formed with the joining of few like minded people who wanted to make difference in our communities and in the lives of the people by serving them in times of need”.
“Today we distributed blankets to 55 families and also conducted free check ups for diabetes, blood pressure and oxygen monitoring for around 30 people in Gamchakobra ADC Village in Lefunga”, he added.
Dr Ranjan Bose, a member of the club assisted the diabetes detection camp, he added.
President Rupasri Paul, Treasurer Dhrubojyoti Shil, 1st vice president Sajal Kumar Paul along with other club members of Lions Club Of Agartala, Anish remained present at the camp.
