Agartala Aug 24: Massive, unprecedented flood followed by 4-days of incessant showers wreaked havoc taking a heavy toll on the people of Tripura.

The members of Lions Club of Agartala ANISH are working round-the-clock to provide relief to thousands of flood victims who have taken refuge in various relief camps opened by the state government.

The club distributed 1080 packaged 1-liter water bottles and 400 food packets to flood relief camps across the state on Friday and are continuing the work. The relief camps including Ramthakur Girls School near Pratapgarh Town, Mahatma Gandhi School at Shibnagar, Swami Dayanand JB School at Dhaleshwar, Indranagar Kali Bari, Indranagar, Indranagar High School and Noagaon High School received assistance.

Club secretary Biswajit Banik said, “The Lions Club of Agartala ANISH remains committed to expanding their relief efforts in the near future”.
