Agartala, Nov 20: The residents of Kailashahar blocked the road from Dak Bungalow to Rangaouti on Wednesday to raise their demand for repair of the road. 

Despite repeated deputations by various political parties, social organizations and the Auto Union to authorities including the PWD, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and District Magistrate, no action has been taken to repair the road, the locals alleged.

Irked at the situation, the locals blocked the road at five locations on Wednesday morning.

Later Md. Badruzzaman, Vice Chairman of Gournagar RD Block, joined the protesters and urged authorities to address the issue immediately.
