Teliamura, Jul 11: Locals detained a father-son duo allegedly for selling narcotics at their shop near Teliamura Bazar and handed them over to the police on Monday. Locals also vandalized the shop. 

The local traders along with others nabbed Jahar Saha and his son Ajay red-handed while they were selling drug items to youth and thrashed them before being handed over to police, sources alleged.

It is alleged that even as the father-son duo openly sell narcotics, the police administration remained silent in this matter.

Locals detained them on earlier occasions and handed them over to the police a couple of times, but when they were released, they started the illegal business again, the locals alleged.
