LPG price rise triggering fire in kitchen

Agartala July 07: A situation of extreme unrest prevails among the consumers centring hiked price of cooking gas for the third consecutive term. Locals demanded the government to control the increase in the price of cooking gas.
Notably, the prices of essential commodities have been skyrocketing since long months; that in turn have led to a situation of massive resentment among the common people especially the middle class and poorer sections. In this situation, the price of domestic liquid petroleum gas cylinder was hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder, the third increase in rates since May.
Non-subsidized LPG will now cost Rs 1,183 per cylinder, in Tripura.
Talking to the reporters a consumer on Thursday said, “Common people have a certain monthly budget according to their income, but if the prices of essential commodities keep on increasing every single day, how will we survive”?
The consumers demanded the central and state government to immediately act upon the matter and take steps to control the price of essential commodities.
