Agartala, Sep 01: The CPI(M) politburo member and former Chief Minister of the then Left front government Manik Sarkar on Sunday called to strengthen movement against capitalism and imperialism to eliminate fascism and ensure establishment of socialist system in the country and world-wide.
Addressing a party event here at Agartala in the office of the state committee of the Central Trade Union, Manik Sarkar said, “At a time when we call to strengthen the movement against capitalism, imperialism and fascism, which are the main cause of war in the world, we should also intensify our movement to establish a socialist system and exploitation-free government in the country and world-wide.”
“The relation between India, under the leadership of the present RSS-backed NDA government and Israel is deepening, which perhaps is a matter of concern,” Sarkar observed, adding that there is a need to intensify movement against India’s ties with such imperial forces.
Referring to the state of Tripura, Manik Sarkar said, “Attempts are being made to establish one party dictatorial rule in the state in a fascistic view, where elections since 2018 are being turned into a farce to remain in power and misrule the state.”
“The fascistic force is trying to use Tripura as their laboratory to throttle the voice of democracy and establish one party dictatorial rule,” he added.
