Teliamura July 16: At a time when the sudden spike in Covid positive cases has triggered a situation of unrest among the citizens, health workers were seen providing services disobeying the Covid protocols.

Such a picture came up in the lens of Tripura Times reporter in Teliamura sub divisional hospital. Health workers were providing medical services without masks in sub-divisional hospital. Starting from the health workers on duty in the hospital, a section of the unconscious people were also found roaming around without masks, ignoring the government regulations. The health workers in charge of vaccinating small children along with some doctors on duty in the hospital were providing health services without masks.

Notably, at least 10 coronavirus positive cases have been detected so far through the covid test at Teliamura sub-district hospital.

When an unaware health worker on duty at the hospital was asked about this, he clarified that he was not told to wear a mask by the hospital authorities.

On the other, sub-divisional Health Officer Chandan Debbarma clarified if any staff working in the hospital do not wear masks then they should be fined by the administration.
