Kumarghat, Mar 2: A furniture warehouse was completely gutted in a devastating fire that broke out at Dhar Market in Kumarghat on Saturday night.

It was learnt that the fire started in the furniture warehouse owned by Neelmani Deb, located at the heart of Dhar Market.

Immediately after noticing the flames, locals informed the Kumarghat fire department. However, due to the intensity of the fire, additional support was requested from the Kanchanbari fire station.

It took two fire engines nearly two and a half hours to bring the fire under control.

According to reports, the warehouse was completely destroyed in the fire and the owner suffered a loss of about Rs 10 lakh.
