Agartala Sept 21: Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions that one can make to society, said Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder.
The Mayor cum MLA made the statement on Saturday as he inaugurated a blood donation camp in Ila Bhattacharjee Smriti Auditorium under Badharghat assembly seat.
Badharghat MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, BJP Sadar president Ashim Bhattacharjee among others also remained present at the blood donation camp organized under the initiative of Ward No 46 of AMC.
Dipak Majumder urged the community to participate actively in blood donation camps and also highlighted the need for continuous blood donation to ensure that blood banks in the state remain well-stocked.
Both the MLAs interacted and encouraged the blood donors while stressing the significance of donating blood.
