Agartala Nov 27: Aiming to enhance the healthcare services, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for construction of a Primary Health Care Centre in West Bhubanban area under Ward No. 12.

AMC Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav, Corporator Santana Saha among others remained present at the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ ceremony on this day, emphasizing the centre’s role in providing accessible and quality healthcare to the local residents.

Speaking to the reporters, Mayor Dipak Majumder said, “The establishment of this sub-health centre is a significant step towards improving public health infrastructure in the area”.

He also highlighted the state government and AMCs commitment to ensuring that the new facility would meet the healthcare needs of the local population and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.

“Since the establishment of the BJP-led Municipal Corporation, the city has seen robust development. We are taking care of all the basic necessities of the city dwellers starting from proper drainage system, roads, street lightings and others”, added Majumder.

The Mayor further mentioned that with the Bhumi Pujan ceremony done, the construction work of the PHC will start at the earliest.
