MD forecasts another 5 Days Of scorching heat wave in Tripura

Agartala, April 22: The state Meteorological Department announced on Monday that the extreme heat wave prevailing over a significant portion of Tripura will persist for another five days.
Heat-wave to severe heat-wave conditions are anticipated in the next five days across the state, said an official, adding that the state recorded 37 degree Celsius on Monday, which is 3.7 degree Celsius more than the normal temperature. 37.5 degree Celsius was recorded on Sunday last which was 4 degree Celsius more than the normal temperature, he added.
Asked about the possibility of rain, the official informed that the Unakoti, North and Dhalai district of the state may witness rain in the next three days.
In view of the high humidity, which could add to people's inconvenience, the official said that the field workers especially should avoid going out in sunny weather during the noon hours. He said amid this scorching heat wave, people should drink an adequate amount of water and lemonade. One should also wear light dresses to get rid of the warm and humid weather.
