Mega Camp organized for Workers Registration

Kumarghat July 08: A Mega Camp was organized at Kumarghat Auditorium on Friday to mark the registration of construction workers under Construction Workers Welfare Project run by Tripura Labor Department. The program was inaugurated by Minister Bhagwan Das. BJP Unakoti district president Pabitra Debnath, Social worker Kartik Das, Municipal Council chairman Biswajit Das and other officials of Kumarghat and Pecharthal areas remained present on the occasion. Around 250 - 300 construction workers were registered under this construction worker welfare scheme with registration fee of Rs 20 and service fee of Rs 30.
Addressing at the program, Minister Bhagwan Das said,” Only a farmer can understand the grief of a farmer and a worker can understand the pain of a worker. Today, the number of farmers in Tripura has increased and in turn the average income of the state has increased”. He further added the various development oriented projects of the present government which are applicable to construction workers have added to the development of the workers, farmers and their families. The minister said the BJP government has increased the amount of assistance for the marriage of the daughters of construction workers from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000.
