Belonia, Dec 22: A group of miscreants attacked a family and destroyed their rubber plantation and slashed the tin roof of their house with sharp weapons. The incident took place at Dhankumar Para in Ratanpur ADC Village under Belonia subdivision on last Friday night.

According to Rangila Tripura, who lives with her husband Jaharnand in a rented house in Belonia, the miscreants attacked their home while the couple was away. Upon returning the next morning, they discovered the damage. The couple claimed this wasn’t the first attack, as their pond embankment had also been damaged earlier.

Rangila informed the BSC Chairman of Rishyamukh Block, who assured her that the issue would be discussed in a meeting. However, no action has been taken yet.

Irked at the situation, Rangila warned that if no solution is found by Wednesday, she and her husband will go to the police for help.
