Mizoram delegation visits Amarpur to study rural development initiatives

Amarpur, Feb 19: A 17-member delegation from Mizoram recently visited Amarpur to study rural development initiatives in the region.
The delegation arrived in the state on February 12. The team comprised two professors from the State Institute of Rural Development, two government officials from Mizoram, and 13 elected representatives.
Upon their arrival at the Amarpur RD Block, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Block Development Officer (BDO) Utpal Das and other officials.
The delegation then interacted with the staff and conducted field visits to several villages, including North Chelagang and Rajkang, along with other neighboring gram panchayats.
Later, the delegation participated in a discussion at the Amarpur Block Panchayat Samiti’s conference hall. The BDO Utpal Das, members of the Panchayat Samiti and others were present in the meeting.
During the discussions, the Mizoram team praised the rural development initiatives undertaken under the Amarpur RD Block.
Notably, Amarpur RD Block was ranked second nationwide for the timely and effective execution of government development projects.
As a token of recognition of this achievement, the BDO had received an award from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
He reiterated his commitment to maintaining this standard of excellence and sought continued cooperation from all stakeholders.
