Nari Shakti Bandhan: Success stories of women related to various SHG groups discussed

Dharmanagar Feb 08: The commendable role of women associated with thousands of self- help groups (SHGs) in Tripura has helped the state grow economically strong.

Success stories of women associated with SHGs, government sponsored welfare schemes, role of Modi-led government that has given utmost importance to ‘Matri Shakti’ were the topics of discussion as the North District BJP organized a discussion session with the women associated with SHGs under “Shakti Bandhan” program.

Women from various blocks, nagar panchayats and village committees of North Tripura district took part in the day’s program.

The women presented their success stories of how they became self- reliant and also expressed gratitude towards the government for lending all sorts of necessary assistance as they are marketing their products keeping the motto of “Vocal for Local” at front.

The meeting was presided by the party’s senior leadership in North Tripura district including Malina Debnath, Kajal Das, Rupali Adhikari among others.
