NIT Agartala alumni distributes relief materials

Jolaibari, Sept 01: The National Institute of Technology Agartala Alumni Association has come forward to assist the flood-affected people of West Pilak, Jolaibari on Sunday. To provide immediate relief to these affected families, the Alumni Association distributed relief materials to 100 families at a relief camp.
Each family received a kit containing 20 essential items. While the affected people had received food grains like rice, pulses, potatoes, and onions from various sources, this was the first time they received a comprehensive relief kit containing a variety of essential items.
The distribution program was attended by the Chairman of the Jolaibari Block Panchayat Samiti, Tapas Dutta, and the President of the NIT Agartala Alumni Association, Dr. Sapon Bhowmik, along with other members like Engineer Tapas Marak, Dr. Lipika Haldar, Dr. Krishna Chowdhury, Dr. Somen Deb, and Dr. Bikram Das.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Sapon Bhowmik expressed that the organization will continue to provide such assistance to the affected people. He also assured that the association would help students who lost their textbooks or notebooks due to the floods.
