Agartala Jan 05: Non-teaching Staff under Tripura SSA Teachers Welfare Association on Thursday placed deputation to the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, Tripura at the Shiksha Bhavan.
The 2-point demands placed in the deputation includes; 1) Regularization of services of all non-teaching staff of Samagra Shiksha, Tripura 2) Enhancement of salary of all non-teaching staff of Samagra Shiksha as per ROP pattern as provisioned vide munites of the Executive Committee meeting of erstwhile Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, now Samagra Shiksha held on May 20, 2009.
Interacting with the reporters, Secretary Non-Teaching Committee Kartik Dutta said, “Recently the salary of non-teaching staffs of Samagra Shiksha was revised on September 21, 2022 but unlike other occasions of enhancements of salary, the structure for provision of salary is not based on the ROP of state government which was adopted since 2009”.
“There has not been any enhancement of our salary during the period from 2018-2022 on the grounds of existence of some anomalies since the introduction of Samagra Shiksha by merging the schemes of SSA and RMSA. Although a committee was formed and the issue was resolved, but yet we have not been provided due salary or DA as per rules”, he added.
The protestors further alleged that in the name of removal of salary anomalies a totally different formula for salary fixation was indicated in the instant memo by taking reference to the suggestions of the committee.
“Only a meagre amount is provided as yearly increment Rs 400-Rs 800 which is highly objectionable and non-agreeable to us”, added the agitating employees.
The non-teaching staff of SSA demanded immediate regularization of services and enhancement of salary as per ROP in view to provide them job security.
