Agartala, Feb 01: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who is contesting the assembly elections from 8- Town Bordowali seat, said the opposition parties are ‘confused’ regarding the poll alliance.
“The Opposition is in a state of confusion. Let them decide first and then compete with the BJP,” Dr. Saha commented on Wednesday in reply to a query on alliance.
The statement came after CPM state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury on Tuesday indication that Tipra Motha would support CPM to oust BJP from power. However, the Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma made it clear that there would be no alliance with CPM.
Speaking to the media during a door-to-door campaign at his constituency, Dr. Saha said, the double-engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi tremendously worked in the state since 2018.
Be it successful implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat scheme or providing drinking water facility, the people are happy with works done by the BJP government and they are showing support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier on the day, the Chief Minister campaigned door to door in support of Papiya Dutta, the BJP candidate from all-important 6-Agartala assembly constituency.
