PG courses introduced in six Tripura Degree Colleges

Agartala, Nov 15: In an important step for strengthening the Higher Education sector, Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on Tuesday launched Post graduate programmes in six Degree College.
Addressing the programme at Matangini Pritilata hall of Agartala Women’s College, the Education minister said, the six colleges where these PG courses would be available in English and Bengali, are- MBB College Agartala, Women's College Agartala, ICVC Belonia, GDC Dharmanagar, RKM Kailashahar and NSM Udaipur.
The Education minister said, the state government has taken several steps for expansion of quality education.
He said, 21 out of 25 general degree colleges of the state already got accredited by NAAC. Besides, National Forensic Sciences University, National Law College, IIIT and an English medium College have already been set up.
According to Nath, a Buddhist University, a Women’s University and four other private universities would also come up in the state.
Chairman of Tripura State Higher Education Council Prof. Arunudoy Saha, Higher Education director N.C. Sharma and Principal of Women’s College Dr. Manidipa Debbarma were present in the programme.
