PM Modi pays tribute to Maharaja Bir Bikram on his birth anniversary

Agartala, Aug 19: Tripura's Maharaja Bir Bikram devoted his life towards empowering poor and downtrodden, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister on Monday paid tribute to Maharaja Bir Bikram, the architect of modern Tripura, on his 161st birth anniversary.
While paying tribute to the late visionary leader, the Prime Minister mentioned on X, "He played an indelible role in the development of Tripura. He devoted his life towards empowering the poor and downtrodden. His welfare measures for the tribal communities are widely respected."
The Prime Minister also highlighted that his Government is committed to fulfilling Maharaja's vision for Tripura's progress.
Tripura's Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha shared the Prime Minister's X post on social media with the comment, "The commitment of Double Engine Government led by Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji is unflinching for Tripura. The vision of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur Ji’s holistic progress & commitment for ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash & Sabka Vishwas’ always reflects in the policy planning of our govt."
