PM opens Janaushadhi Kendra at Agartala Railway Station

Agartala Nov 13: Along with 17 other railway stations across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, virtually inaugurated Janaushadhi Kendra at Agartala Railway Station.

Set up in the concourse area of the prime railway station in Tripura adjacent to Platform No. 1, the Pradhan Mantri Janaushadhi Kendra has a total area of 11.25 square meter with a dimension of 2.5 meter * 4.5 meter in size.

As a part of this nationwide initiative, an inaugural function was organized at the Agartala Railway Station. Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee remained present at the opening ceremony. He was accompanied by Councilor Uday Bhaskar Chakraborty, Railway Lighting Division Manager AK Pandey among other dignitaries.

Talking to the reporters, MP Bhattacharjee thanked the Prime Minister for gifting a Janaushadhi Kendra to the people of Tripura.

“The inauguration of this outlet aims to provide quality medicines at affordable prices, ensuring that essential healthcare is within reach for all citizens”, he said.

He further added, “Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana has revolutionized the face of healthcare by providing quality and affordable medicines to all across the country. It is a matter of pride; how Prime Minister Narendra Modi thinks for the people of Tripura. The inauguration of such a centre at our Railway Station underscores the importance of this initiative in improving public health and well-being”.
