Agartala Dec 30: In a successful operation, based on a tip-off, police of Bamutia Outpost recovered a large quantity of stolen wood from Berimura Surjya Chowmani area.
The operation was led  by Bamutia Outpost Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anthony Jamatia, along with a substantial police force.
However, despite the efficiency of the police operation, the smugglers managed to evade from the spot. Local sources have revealed that these smugglers have been involved in wood smuggling in this area for an extended period. The recent police raid, however, disrupted their activities and led to the recovery of the stolen wood.
OC Anthony Jamatia addressed the media, providing details about the operation. He emphasized the ongoing efforts of the Bamutia Outpost to combat illegal activities in the region and assured the public that the police would continue their vigilance to prevent such crimes.
