Agartala, June 17: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who is contesting the by-polls from 6- Agartala seat, took a dig at Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman on ‘political maturity’ without mentioning his name.

“He (Roy Barman) might have been a politician for a long time but he is going down gradually. I am not so experienced but I am prospering. Who is the good politician?” Dr. Saha asked in an oblique reference to Roy Barman’s comment on ‘political maturity’.
 
Dr. Saha was speaking at a street corner at RMS Chowmuhani on Thursday.
 
Speaking at the programme, Dr. Saha sought to know from the people of this constituency, if the then MLA (Roy barman), who was elected by people’s vote, had consulted them before the resignation.
 
The poll rally received good response from the people. Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury, Chief Whip of Assembly Kalyani Roy and AMC Mayor Dipak MAjumder among other party leaders were present in the programme.
 
Earlier on the day, Dr. Saha campaigned door-to- door in the Ramnagar area to seek people’s blessings.
