Power Minister gets furious over filthy atmosphere of Power Office

Agartala June 03: The state minister for power, Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday paid a sudden visit to Banamalipur power sub-station along with a team of officials.
However, the minister got furious to find out the dirty and filthy atmosphere of the sub-station covering approximately 4 acres of land in the capital city.
Talking about his intention behind the visit, Nath said, “The area is vast and needs to be utilized properly. The team of officials including the engineers are going to inspect the entire area of the sub-station and a proper comprehensive plan will be chalked out so that the land can be utilized by the department for the welfare of the common people”.
“The buildings are old and needs maintenance at the earliest and therefore action will be taken for beautification and renovation according to requirement”, he added.
Meanwhile, while taking a round across the office building the minister was surprised to see the dirty surroundings piled up with litter and further asked the authorities to engage labour and clean up the entire area within next two days.
He also said, the AMC will be urged for beautification of the pond near the office premise so that locals can use the area.
On being asked by the reporters about power outage issues in various places of the city and no response on the toll free number 1912, the minister said, “There is no receiver system and according to my knowledge the system is working fine”.
He however, said to check again if there area some issues prevailing as per the complaints.
