Kumarghat July 16: Amid scorching heat waves, suffering of common people has intensified due to frequent power cut and service weakness of TSECL across the state. Life of common people in Kumarghat sub-division has become miserable during the extreme heat, in which almost 48 hours have passed, but the officials of the sub-division electricity department have not been able to restore the electricity service. Not only during the day, but also at night, people are unable to sleep because of the heat. Due to excessive heat, patient pressure has increased in the hospital. In this case, children and adults are suffering from diarrhea, fever, cold. Moreover, drinking water is also not available due to non-operation of electricity service. Officials of the department are not able to say when the electricity service will be normal, also many people are not working in the electricity department because the department has not yet paid them the money for the previous day's work, alleged the workers.  All these have added to extreme sufferings of the common people.

Locals demanded immediate intervention of the administration to restore the dilapidated electricity services.
