Agartala May 28: Resented with the disrupted service by Sai Computer Limited, a private electricity provider in Kailasahar, locals once again took to streets on Sunday.
According to reports, Bhagabannagar and Gaurnagar areas of Kailashahar have been without power for the past three days.
But unfortunately, the officials of the private electricity service provider Sai Computer Limited did not take any action despite the villagers repeatedly informed the concerned authorities in writing and verbally.
Even the employees of the organization did not visit the concerned areas where the locals were suffering because of power outage.
Finding no other way out, the locals blocked the Kailashahar- Dharmannagar road demanding electricity.
Agitating locals said, “Due to the lack of electricity for three days, there has been an acute problem of drinking water. But ever after repeatedly informing the authorities of Sai Computer Limited did not take any action”.
Notably, major offices including the District Hospital, District Magistrate's Office, District Superintendent of Police and other government offices are located in this area.
But despite having the most important offices, the power outage issue has turned out to be major concern for the residents.
Later, after a long hours of road protest, Kailasahar police and TSR forces rushed to the spot.
Receiving specific promises from the officials including drinking water supply for two times a day by the DWS department, the locals withdrew the blockade.
