Agartala, Jan 16: Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma seems to be in no mood to form a poll alliance as of now. He, however, said that talks may take place only if he gets anything in written form.
After returning to the state on Monday, he reiterated that there would be no compromise with the demand of ‘Greater Tipraland’. He said, this time the women would take the lead and send the Delhi’s party to Delhi.
Addressing a rally of Tipra Women Federation at Khumulwng, he said, some of the leaders are fighting for the next polls but Tipra Motha is fighting for the next generation.
Referring to the poor attendance of BJP national president J.P. Nadda’s Khumulwng rally, he said, while in Khumulwng the leaders should talk about Tiprasa people. The democracy in Tripura is now in danger; there is a need to give a united fight, he said.
Addressing the women’s rally, he also appealed to the Tiprasa people not to sell their votes.
Earlier on the day, he was welcomed by Tipra Motha’s youth wing at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala.
