Agartala Aug 02: On the occasion of birth anniversary of eminent scientist Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy, inauguration ceremony of new academic session of pre-primary section of Achatrya Prafulla Chandra Roy Smriti Vidya Mandir was held on Tuesday.

Director of Education Chandni Chandran, SDM Sadam and Chairman of School Committee Asim Saha, AMC Ward no. 6 Councillor Lata Nath, Chairman Shibabrata Memorial Trust, Indrani Bhattacharya remained present at the day’s program.

The program started with lighting lamp and garlanding the statue of scientist Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy.

Later annual prize distribution ceremony for the 2021-22 academic year was held.

Speaking to the reporters SDM Asim Saha said, “Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Smriti Vidya Mandir has been included under the Mission 100, Vidyajyoti Scheme”.

He hoped this would help in development of the students and teaching and learning process in the school.
