Puspita Murasing from Tripura crowned GMI Miss India 2024

Agartala, Dec 19: In a proud moment for the state, 19-year-old Puspita Murasing from West Patichari, Santir Bazar, South Tripura, has been crowned the GMI Miss India 2024. The grand event was held at the Elpro Auditorium in Mumbai, where Puspita outshone other contestants with her talent, beauty, and confidence. She will now represent India at the Miss Culture International 2025 pageant in Jakarta, Indonesia.  

On Thursday, Puspita returned to Agartala and shared her happiness with the media at the airport. "I am grateful for the support and love I’ve received. Representing India on the global stage is a dream come true, and I will give my best to make the country proud," she said.  

Pushpita’s proud parents, Aswini Kumar Murasing and Subarna Kanya Tripura, are overjoyed at their daughter’s success. Puspita’s journey began with her Bachelor’s degree holder in Medical Laboratory Technology. Her achievement is a testament to her determination and hard work, which has brought immense pride not only to her family but also to the entire state of Tripura.
