Agartala, June 27: The Agartala Regional Office under the National Statistics Office conducted a quiz competition at Muktadhara Auditorium in Agartala on Monday.

The quiz competition (Anvesha 2022) was organised in the context of 75 years of Independence (Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav). 

Students of various colleges participated in the program, which include Holy Cross College, MBB College, TIT college, AGMC College and many others.

The program commenced with the National Anthem followed by the inaugural speech of Sudip Kumar Das, SSO and Incharge of Regional Office of the National Statistics Office.

S Choudhary, Secretary of Statistics Department, was Chief Guest in the programme. He said several aspects of the Statistics Department as well as said that people are highly dependent on the department for vital statistics.

S.C. Das, the Director of the Department of Economics and Statistics, was the Guest of Honour. Bimal Majumder, SSO, RO was delivered the vote of thanks. He also addressed the participants. Several other officials of NSO were also present in the program.

The team of Holy Cross College won the competition. 1st runner-up was AGMC College and 2nd runner-up was TIT College. Prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners followed by refreshment distribution.
