Railway Police seizes 200 packets of Yaba Tablets from Mumbai- Agartala Express

Agartala Jan 01: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel apprehended a suspect and recovered a significant haul of nearly 200 packets of Yaba tablets from the Mumbai-Agartala Express on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred when the train reached Jirania. Habibul Rahman, resident of Udaipur in Gomati district was arrested on the basis of suspicion.
According to RPF sources, Habibul collected the bag containing narcotic items from Badarpur Railway Station with an intent to transport it to Tripura.
RPF personnel intercepted Habibul while he was in possession of the bag.
Confirming the recovery of the massive stash of yaba tablets, Commanding Officer, BK Sinha said, “The estimated market value of the yaba tablets is around Rs 50 lakh”.
Legal action will be taken against the detained person after being produced before the court seeking police remand, he added.
