Agartala Jan 16: On Thursday, Rajya Sabha MP and State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee inaugurated the newly built marble statue of Shaheed Khudiram at Khudiram Bose English Medium School, located under Banamalipur assembly constituency.

In his address, Bhattacharjee paid tribute to the youngest revolutionary martyr, Khudiram Bose, who sacrificed his life for the country’s freedom and urged the students to go gather knowledge about Khudiram and other freedom fighters of the country.

“The statue stands as a symbol of courage and patriotism, inspiring the students and the community to remember and honour the sacrifices made by freedom fighters”, he said.

He also emphasized the importance of remembering the heroes of the past and instilling their values in the younger generation.

The Rajya Sabha MP further highlighted the significance of Khudiram Bose's bravery and dedication to the nation's cause, urging the students to draw inspiration from his life.

At the end of the ceremony, Rajib Bhattacharjee distributed bicycles among the girls of Class 9, promoting the importance of education and mobility for young girls.

“The state government’s decision of distributing free bicycles among the girl students is aimed to encourage them to pursue their studies with greater enthusiasm and ease, ensuring they have the necessary means to attend school regularly”.
