Agartala, July 1: On the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha took part in the festival organized at ISKCON Agartala. The Chief Minister offered prayers to Lord Jagannath and also worshipped the Chariots.

Talking to the reporters on the occasion, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said,”Rath Yatra is an auspicious and holy occasion”. He expressed thanks and gratitude to the ISKCON for including him in the puja rituals. The CM further said, he prayed for the welfare of the citizens of Tripura.

The nine-day-long Jagannath Rath Yatra festivities commenced today after a hiatus of two years. Thousands of devotees from all across the country gathered to see the holy chariots and seek the blessings of the almighty.
