Agartala Aug 22: In response to the dire flood situation affecting various areas across Tripura, the state government has prioritized the protection and efficient distribution of relief to the citizens.
Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Special Secretary to the government of Tripura has been appointed as Special DM and Collector of Gomati district.
The notification issued by the order of the Governor, on Thursday mentioned, “In view of the unprecedented natural disaster (flood) in the state and in the interest of public service, the Governor of Tripura is pleased to order as follows with immediate effect and until further order:-
Ravel Hemendra Kumar, IAS, Special Secretary to the Government of Tripura will also hold the charge of Special DM and Collector, Gomati District, Tripura”.
“In addition to his normal charges with the full powers of the DM & Collector, Gomati District”, it added.
Additionally, five more TCS officers have been assigned to oversee the distribution of relief items.
Anurag Sen, Dy Director, Panchayat, Jayanta Deb, Dy Director, Land Records and Settlement, Kamal Debbarma Dy Director, Land Records and Settlement, Mithun Das Choudhury, Dy Director, Education Department and Prabal Kanti Deb, Dy Director, YAS have been placed under the disposal of the Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
Apart from these, NC Sharma, Director of Education (School) Department, and Prasun Dey, Director of Panchayat, have been directed to assist the Food Department in this crucial relief effort.
