Agartala June 30: The Tripura Civil Service Officers Association sent food items worth Rs 10 lakh to help people in the flood-hit area of Silchar. The lorry left for Silchar in presence of Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Sarkar on Thursday.

Praising the initiative taken up by the organization, CM Dr. Manik Saha said, since long time the people of Silchar have been dealing with extreme hardships owing to the situation of acute flood. He said this little help for the victims will add to their little relief.

The Minister further said, he has been in contact with the MLAs and concerned representatives of the flood affected areas in Silchar and also thanked the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association for the noble initiative.
