Renewable Energy: Tripura govt signs MoU with NTPC REL

Agartala, Jan 16: The Government of Tripura has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Thermal Power Corporation- Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) in New Delhi on Monday.
The MoU signed in presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and other officials is for the Development of Floating and Ground Mounted based Renewable Energy Projects in the state.
The MoU will help the Tripura government in meeting its Clean Energy Commitments and obligations.
“This MoU embarks the journey towards dev. of Renewable Energy Projects in Tripura & shall help us in meeting our Clean Energy Commitments to the vision of PM @narendramodi Ji,” the Chief Minister wrote in a social media post.
The MoU was signed by Chief General Manager, NTPC REL- Rajiv Gupta and Director General and CEO, Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency- Mahananda Debbarma.
The MoU was signed in presence of Secretary (Power)- Brijesh Pandey and other senior officials from the state government. On behalf of NTPC Ltd, Director-Commercial CK Mondal, Director-Finance J Srinivasan and Chief Executive Officer, NTPC REL Mohit Bhargava were present.
