Repeat theft hits Agartala Press Club: Lift Construction materials stolen

In a troubling recurrence, the Agartala Press Club has once again fallen victim to theft. 

Thieves targeted the ongoing elevator construction site, making away with crucial building materials and metal rods. 

According to a worker involved in the project, the stolen items—essential to the progress of the elevator installation—are estimated to be worth between Rs 30,000- 35,000.

This latest incident raises serious concerns about security at the press club premises, especially given that it isn’t the first time such a theft has occurred. 

The repeated loss not only hampers construction efforts but also poses questions about the safety of equipment and the need for stronger protective measures on site.

Authorities are yet to release any official statement, and an investigation is anticipated to identify the culprits behind this act.
