Returnees Group declares to withdraw NH Blockade for July 11

Agartala, Jul 08: The Returnees groups namely Joint Action Committee (JAC) and Joint Action Rehabilitation Committee (JARC) declared to withdraw National Highway blockade on July 11 next after the representatives of the Committees held a meeting with the Tribal Welfare Minister, Rampada Jamatia on Friday. The same was declared by Shailen Kumar Bru, GS JAC amid a press meet at the Agartala Press Club.
The members of the Returning Committee said they met the Tribal Welfare Minister Rampada Jamatia on Friday and other concerned officials at the Civil Secretariat. Where the minister assured to fulfill their demands and sought time till July 15 next.
Receiving specific assurances from the Tribal Welfare Minister, the associations declared to withdraw NH blockade for the stipulated time.
Notably with three charter point demands including Power Tiller and Piggery-Goattery Schemes, PMAY-G houses and withdrawal of all pending Court and Police cases the returnees committees met the Tribal Welfare Minister on Friday.
However, the committees warned to stick to the decision of National Highway blockade if their demands are not met within the stipulated time.
