Dharmanagar, July 09: A tree plantation ceremony was held in Dharmanagar on Saturday under the initiative of Rotary Club International. Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Bishwabandhu Sen, President of Dharmanagar Rotary Club Subir Some, Secretary Bijit Das and members of the club remained present. A total of 40 trees were planted on the banks of Rana Dighi. Local MLA and Vice-Chairman Bishwabandhu Sen inaugurated the event with the slogans “Clean Dharmanagar, Green Dharmanagar and Save Dharmanagar”. 90 percent of the trees that were planted previous years have grown up making the project a successful one. The organization declared  to organize another tree plantation program on July 22 next.
