Agartala Nov 28: Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated “Rozgar Mela” and West Tripura District Skill and Loan Mela at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, in capital city where eligible candidates selected by various departments were provided with employment letters/Offer letters.
Under the “Rozgar Mela”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed around 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits across the country via video conferencing.
The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation.
The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development directly, said an official release.
Addressing the program Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that the state government and the party is working tirelessly to fulfill its promises made to the people of the state.
“Commitment made to the people is the priority of the government. And we are working hard to ensure that every household in the state whether city of village or hills are safe and secure”, said Dr Manik Saha.
Lauding the initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the chief minister praised various schemes taken up by the state government including “Har Ghar Sushashan” and “Amar Sarkar” web-portal.
“Keep faith on us and we will definitely take Tripura to No.1 position like that of the Gujarat Model”, he said.
Castigating the earlier Left Front government, Dr Saha said, “The Communists who left more than 7 lakhs unemployed in the state are now conducting protests against unemployment. Whereas, the state government under ruling BJP has made the people of state self-reliant. Today, many youths and women are entrepreneurs and are giving jobs to many instead of seeking jobs”.
Stressing on Bharatiya Janata Party’s slogan of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Prayas” and “Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura” education minister Ratan Lal Nath said, “In order to achieve this utmost importance should be given to those who are still in the classrooms”.
“Only government jobs cannot totally eradicate unemployment problems. Every department needs manpower to run the respective department but that’s not all”, he said.
Nath further said, “We want Job creators not Job seekers. Entrepreneurship is the only solution to meet the unemployment crisis”.
The education minister claimed that the entire recruitment process under BJP-led government is transparent and not like that of the Communist regime. One can get jobs only with proper qualification.
Besides MinisterMinister of Industry and Commerce Santana Chakma, Minister Labour Bhagaban Chandra Das also highlighted various developmental aspects of the state BJP government adding that the people of Tripura have seen development in real terms only under the ruling BJP and able leadership of the chief minister.
Apart from that J K Sinha, chief secretary, Tripura, Amitabh Ranjan, DGP, Tripura also remained present at the program.
A total of 686 job offer letters were distributed among newly inducted appointees.

Besides handing over appointment letters to the candidates, posting orders were also published with respect to the candidates who have accepted offers of appointment for the post of Graduate Teacher (GT) and Asst. Professor under state education department.
