Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will arrive in Tripura on August 27 to join inauguration of a newly-built Shiv-Parvati temple at Santikali Dham in Amarpur sub-division.

Many Sadhu and Sants from across the country will take part in the two-day ceremony, Chittaranjan Maharaj of Santikali Ashram announced in a press conference at Agartala Press Club on Wednesday.

He said, with an aim to protect Sanathan Hindu Dharma, the new temple is being constructed at Sarbong of Amarpur sub-division. In this regard, he appealed to the people for making donations.

Speaking to the media, Chittaranjan Maharaj remembered the brutal killing of Santikali, a popular Hindu priest who was shot to death inside his ashram near Jirania on August 27 in 2000.

He said, after 22 years, the same Tithi would fall on August 27 when inauguration of the new temple would take place.
