Udaipur, Mar 14: A Buffalo which was brought to Mata Tripura Sundari Temple at Matabari for ‘sacrifice’ went on a rampage injuring one person and damaging bikes, shops and a house.  

The buffalo was brought to the temple from Birchandra Manu of South Tripura district to perform a sacrifice ritual by one Ramjoy Reang.

During the rampage, the buffalo destroyed some parts of a house along with five bikes and several shops. A youth- Biswajit Das was injured while trying to run away from the rampaging buffalo.

The incident caused panic among the people of the area, including the devotees who came to worship at the temple and the shopkeepers.

Later, some youths of the area managed to bring the buffalo under control and tied it to an electricity pole.

The police personnel of Radha Kishorepur police station also rushed to the spot after receiving the news and took control of the situation.
